Basically, you jump off a mountain down a steep slope, crouched and use your ski stick or ice pick as a kind of rudder. A long, long time ago in the Swiss Alps I used this technique after an impromptu lesson from the guide we used on the acent of this mountain ... no ski&#39;s on the climb, your boots sorta work as skis &#39;cause yr going so fast / vertical. It&#39;s used as an emergency way to get off a mountain quick. Saw a clip of someone surfing on skis in the ocean the other day.
